Immune System

The immune system is a collection of cells and the molecules they produce that serve the function of protecting the body from attack, for example from infectious agents such as bacteria, fungi, viruses, and parasites. The immune system also functions to protect the body from non-infectious insults, repairs damage to tissue, and scavenges dead tissue from the body. More information on the immune system can be found here.
