Highly active antiretroviral therapy (HAART)
A type of treatment for patients with the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) that uses multiple medications in order to lower the level of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) in the blood. Usually results in an improvement in the strength of the immune system.
